Automotive aerodynamics is the study of the aerodynamics of road vehicles. Its main goals are reducing drag and wind noise, minimizing noise emission, and preventing undesired lift forces and other causes of aerodynamic instability at high speeds. Air is also considered a fluid in this case. For some classes of racing vehicles, it may also be important to produce downforce to improve traction and thus cornering abilities.

I used the flow simulation function of Solidworks to gauge the aerodynamic qualities of the car, this car has the thick style tires

These numbers are the forces acted on to the car by the air as it moves through the air at 75 miles per hour

I ran the simulation again using the thin style tires, this time I made it animated so you can see exactly how the air would move around the body of the vehicle

Once again, I found the forces acting on the car by the air, notice that this time the forces are significantly less due to the tires being thinner and therefore catching less air as it moves

These two pictures are the first, third, and seventh generation, I changed it to Newtons from pascals after the second generation. I made a total of 8 generations for my "Racketenauto" or "Rocket Car"Â
This is the final design as well as the flow simulation showing the car and the total drag force against the car while it is going forward
