I am a researcher in educational measurement with a wide range of expertise and experience:
Interested in bridging the gap between assessment and learning and developing theory and frameworks for cognitively based-assessment for learning
Enthusiastic about the development of innovative technology-enhanced assessment tools for learning; concerned about enhancing engagement and motivation in assessment and learning, including applying various reward systems, different item type and scoring methods, and tailoring assessment to test takers’ ability and knowledge
Expertise in test development of quantitative measures (math, science, inquiry skills, etc.), specifically expertise in content validity of mathematics assessments aligned to learning progressions (and/or Common Core State Standards); background also with language assessment
Experience with a wide range of assessment types, such as: large-scale admission tests, large-scale accountability testing, formative assessment, computer-based assessment, adaptive testing, diagnostic assessment, cognitively-based assessment, scenario-based assessment, simulation-based assessment, interactive assessment, game-based assessment, etc.
