The Boutique at Seneca

During my second year at Seneca (Fall 2021), I had the opportunity to work with The Boutique eCommerce site as part of the Digital Operations team. This was the year which the on-campus Seneca Boutique had the involvement of opening their eCommerce site for the first time. The Boutique was a chance for students to have a hands-on experience to learn what the true functions are behind a business. As a member of the Digital Operations team, I had the responsibility of ensuring the front end of the website was functioning seamlessly. I was responsible for verifying all product information was inputted correctly by collaborating with the inventory team of the site. Other tasks included updating the weekly business journal to track our competitors, ensuring that the inventory for the site was up to date and also developing the official newsletter for The Boutique.

An example of where we input categories for Search Engine Optimization. This is a system used to assist customers in effortlessly locating products they are searching for.
