Collection of all logos designed for MAX Apparel's marketing as well as design exploration. The focus was on creating companies within the same industries as our market base, such as farming, landscaping, auto works, construction, and breweries.
These caps were to market MAX Apparel's 4 different suede visors in tan, black, brown, and grey. For each cap, I designed corresponding patches with the same fabric as the visor. I chose fabrics and designs that I felt fit the feel of the suede and would appeal to the customer base.
Typographic Calendar Design
This is the final design for the yearly calendar I made. My brother and I have always had a fascination with Pyrex and old school glassware and I thought the different designs would translate well to represent different seasons.
The idea for the calendar came from an advertisement from the 80s of Corning's new modern products. The "CORNING MICROWAVE MW" logo, which it's shape fit the sleek classic design in Pyrex advertisements of 50s-90s.
The calendar goes into details and features the most popular dish shapes of the decade as well as hand-drawn designs of the different etchings on the side of Pyrex glassware.
2024 design for MAX Apparel's yearly summer barbecue, with the theme Summer Luau
In choosing a font family to focus on for my type specimen book I was immediately drawn to the thick humanist slab serifs of Pulpo Rust. I am a fan of Clarendon, of which the founder took inspiration from and this iteration was a grungier, rougher, but still bold version of the font.
As someone with a fascination in unsolved mysteries, I thought it would be interesting to merge that with the information on the type family. I paired historical true crimes with versions of Pulpo Rust, and as the font becomes more distressed, the older the case it is paired with. The case itself and the typeface are both distressed and worn from time.
