Meg Zastrow is a designer and illustrator; her work combines both the bright, expressive, hand-drawn elements of illustration within graphic design and typography. Her experience within the fine arts can be seen interwoven with her predominantly digital current works, often using traditional mediums to create texture, as well as an artistic hand in vector-based and digital illustrations.
In 2021, she received her BFA from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a major in illustration, through the years curating a background in design, typography, apparel design, picture books, and motion graphics. Her experience at MIAD opened up a range of opportunities to work with professionals to advance her experience within the industry, taking a particular interest in pattern and apparel design.
Upon graduating from MIAD, Meg continued her illustrative efforts. She collaborated with local artists on mural projects, long-arm quilting designs, and patterns for home wall designs. She continues this work now alongside her career at MAX Apparel, working as a graphic artist to design custom caps and printing for safety garments. Meg's current works range from branding designs to unique and funky patterns, most of which include illustrative typography and texture from hand-drawn elements.
