I am an aquatic ecologist interested in the biological interactions between aquatic animals and their environment.

As a researcher at the Center for Ecological Research, Kyoto University, I explore the trade-offs between metabolism and life-history traits in freshwater fish using fatty acids and stable isotope ratios.

I am passionate about applying scientific research to enhance our understanding of the distribution and abundance of aquatic organisms, as well as promoting sustainable fisheries management.
