You can delete your MedMentor account and associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

1. Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)

1. Open the MedMentor app and sign in.

2. Go to the Profile tab.

3. Scroll down and tap Delete account.

4. Confirm when prompted.

Your account will be signed out and your data will be removed from our servers.

2. Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email us from the same Google or Apple account you use to sign in.

In your email, include:

• Your Google / Apple sign-in email used in MedMentor

• (Optional) Your device model

3. What we delete or anonymize

• Account profile information (name, MBBS year, college, phone, preferred books)

• Saved favourites

• Tutor questions / conversation history (where stored)

• MCQ / practice sessions and results

• Usage records (daily limits) and feedback linked to your account

• Your Firebase sign-in association with MedMentor

4. Timeline

Email requests are typically processed within 30 days. In-app deletion begins immediately after you confirm.

5. What may be retained briefly

• Encrypted backups may persist for a short period before automatic purge.

• Aggregated, anonymised analytics that cannot identify you.

• Data we must keep to comply with law (rare for normal student use).

6. Ads and third parties

Deleting your MedMentor account removes data stored by us. Advertising identifiers collected by Google AdMob are governed by Google's policies; you can reset your advertising ID in device settings.
