The healthcare professionals come from the same region as the volunteers, rather than the region of the communities being served.
What a community needs is determined by the volunteering party, rather than the community members.

Follow-Up Care
Follow-Up Care
Although volunteers only work with MEDLIFE for a week, MEDLIFE team members in the area arrange follow-up care year-round. This includes transportation, financial assistance, and various medical procedures.
Local Healthcare Providers
Local Healthcare Providers
MEDLIFE provides community members with healthcare professionals from the surrounding area. This ensures that the providers are familiar with the local language and customs.

MEDLIFE works with communities and actively listens to their needs rather than talking over them and telling them what they need.
