Student Start Up and Innovation Policy
Government of Gujarat has developed a policy for providing assistance to Startups/ Innovation. Under this scheme, any individual/ group of individuals having innovative idea/ Concept will be eligible and/ or Universities/ education institutions, Incubation Centre/ PSUs/ R&D Institutions/ Private and other establishments will be eligible as an institution to support and mentor to innovators as approved by Committee. Startups in an economy's technology sectors is an important indicator of technological performance for several reasons.

Institute level Activities Under SSIP
Government Polytechnic Godhra has started a SSIP cell from 6th July 2018.
SSIP Gujarat sanctioned Rs. 15 lakhs for Government Polytechnic Godhra for the different innovative activities and released its first instalment of Rs. 125000 Rs in July 2018. Second instalment of Rs. 80000 Rs is given in 2019-2020.
SSIP cell utilize total grant of 1,26,379/- for PoC, Project fairs, etc.
SSIP committee organizes project fair for the innovative projects of all branches of the institute. SSIP cell organises SSIP awareness programmes for the students of Government Polytechnic GODHRA and another Government polytechnic, Halol and institutes of the region to encourage young innovative ideas.
SSIP cell also organises webinars of external speakers on entrepreneurship.
