First Semester:
Week 1:
I mainly contributed to discussion and ideation, pulling discussions in directions that I think are underdeveloped or important to hash out. Besides that, I helped with the 5 pager and did a lot of work on the mini sell presentation.
Week 2:
I started on producing SFXs with a Mech Punch. Part of that was learning to use Pro Tools, since I've been meaning to learn and get experience with that DAW. Besides that I've continued to discuss details on the mechanics and systems of the game and helped people set up Perforce on their computers.
Week 3:
I mainly helped out with production this week. I made the asset template, asset manager/list, and did a lot of work on the scrum presentation. I also set up FMOD in the Unity project, so the coming week I should be able to work on the game's audio more.
Week 4:
Mainly reading up FMOD documentation and making new SFXs for the mech and starting to implement them.
Week 5:
Made engineer SFXs and figured out implementation.
Week 6:
Went back and touched up the previous SFXs and added Battery and Magnet SFXs and implemented any previous SFXs.
Week 7:
Made and Implemented Wall Running and Magnet Shoot SFXs.
Week 8:
Looked into Perforce branching. Redid the Wall Running SFX.
Week 9:
Met again with Robin to discuss Perforce branching and remixed the game's audio. Also made a poster randomizer script and fixed an issue with the Monster/Mech SFXs.
Week 10:
Added more effects to the Monster/Mech SFXs to better sell the scale and location of the attack. Also added another charged battery SFX and a monster roar SFX before it attacks. Lastly I made a script that makes lights flash red when the alarm is active and placed some of the poster prefabs around.
Second Semester:
Week 1:
Looked into perforce branching and how we should implement that into our workflow. Started creating groaning metal SFXs for when the mech moves/ambiance.
Week 2:
Set up a perforce branching guideline for everyone to follow. Started implementing the SFXs from last week
Week 3:
Finished up scripts and Fmod events for mech movement/ambiance. Looked into sound settings and robotic voices. Reached out about requesting a Drexel recording studio.
Week 4:
Implemented sound settings. Looked into some perforce branching issues.
Week 5:
Experimented with effects for the "Mech AI" voice and crowd cheer SFX. Dealt with an issue in perforce.
Week 6:
Redid Mech Movement and Ambiance SFXs and added some new ones.
Week 7:
Tried to get Mech Movement and Ambiance SFX systems ready for Admitted Students' Day and helped run the booth. Made some SFX for the gears and wind tunnels.
Week 8:
Mixed audio in game, added SFXs from last week and fixed/redid a lot of sound systems.
