Where:

• Use a cleansed space e.g. alter.
• Somewhere no one will disturb.
• Somewhere SAFE.

Tools/equipment:

• Candles, can buy, make (dip or moulds) or adapt. They do not need to be natural.
• Water. This should be blessed or cleansed in some way. Could use salt water or rose water. Just what you would normally use would be fine.
• Candle holder. This MUST BE SAFE. Storm lanterns or very secure base. This is because the candle needs to be left to burn.
• Awl, this is used to inscribe the candle. You could also use your ritual knife, personal belonging, or even a needle!
• Oil. This can be just basic olive oil. (more on this later)

Candles:

• You can use a colour to correspond with planets etc.
• You can use more than one as in advanced CB.
• You should consider the burning time of the candles you choose.

Inscribing:

• Normal script.
• Symbols.
• Angelic script etc.
• Runes.
• Hexagrams etc.
