The MEA Social and Racial Justice Committee will:

● Build our knowledge and expertise in the areas of social and racial justice.

● Advocate for ​social and racial justice policies in public education.

● Respond to and challenge inequities at all levels including but not limited to, school, district, organization and state level.

Our current work will be focused on, but not limited to:

● Educating teachers about student issues regarding social and racial justice.

● Providing opportunities to engage in discussions around social and racial justice.

● Partnering with other groups to provide educational opportunities.
