MDLD Training Runs

Two orientation runs have been be held in past years to help MDLD runners get to know the trail better and get a few miles on their feet. We may do a couple in the month ahead of it in 2016. Will notify via Google Group list.

Please consider joining the Mason-Dixon Trail System and buying your own set of the beautiful and durable trail maps!

Training Run 2:  Lock 12 Park to Long Level (21+ miles)

If you are not familiar with this portion of the trail it is tough. John Wayne tough. Cheap steak tough. Some parts are more climbing than running. Other parts are road but exposed and hot. Each hour will seem to give you something tougher than the last. Be prepared for a very slow, difficult 21+ miles. But, you will enjoy the challenge and beauty!

Shuttle car drivers need to meet at the start at 630 am. Email Pete (mclaughlin.pete@gmail.com) if you want to participate or need a ride.
