The Mason-Dixon Trail

A great place to run

Back in the early 2000s, two crazy trail runners conceived the idea of running as far as they could on scenic and challenging sections of the Mason-Dixon Trail on an early summer day with the longest daylight hours of the year.

Now, that idea by Trail Dawg ultrarunners Hunt Bartine and Pawl Melzer has evolved into a series of four fun seasonal challenges along the M-DT, and some variations on the themes. These challenges keep the spirit of those first runs of the Mason-Dixon Longest Day: self-sufficient, non-organized, personal long-distance trail challenges that bring together like-minded trail runners for a fun and challenging day in the woods.
