Although the Maryland Gifted and Talented Advisory Council (MDGTAC) is appointed by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) under COMAR 13A.04.07.05, the Council operates independently from MSDE. The views expressed by the Council do not necessarily reflect those of MSDE or the individual school districts where many members are employed. We are a volunteer group committed to advancing the education of gifted and talented learners in Maryland, and the opinions shared are our own.
