This research examines factors associated with adolescent fertility among ever-married women in Bangladesh using nationally representative data from the 2022 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS).
I applied complex survey methods and survey-weighted logistic regression to account for the BDHS sampling design and investigated associations with socioeconomic and reproductive factors, including household wealth, education, age at first cohabitation, partner characteristics, and employment status.
The project strengthened my experience in analyzing complex population-health data, building and interpreting regression models, and conducting reproducible statistical analyses in R.
Methods: Complex survey analysis · Survey-weighted logistic regression · Regression modeling · R · Reproducible analysis
Output: Preprint available on medRxiv
I am a second author and statistical analysis contributor on a collaborative study examining telehealth utilization and technology-related barriers among U.S. adults experiencing medical financial hardship using nationally representative Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS) 7 data.
I conducted the statistical analyses using complex survey-weighted logistic regression in R, including models examining telehealth utilization and sociodemographic factors associated with digital-literacy and technology-use barriers.
The manuscript is currently in preparation. Statistical analyses from this project also contributed to an abstract accepted for an oral presentation at the 2026 American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting.

My developing research interests lie at the intersection of statistical methodology and biomedical applications.
My previous research has primarily involved regression methods applied to population-health data. Through this work and my graduate training in advanced regression, I have become increasingly interested in statistical problems where conventional methods may be inadequate because of complex data structures, correlated predictors, high-dimensional information, or other features of biomedical data.
I am particularly interested in developing stronger foundations in regression methodology, statistical inference, computational statistics, regularization, and statistical learning, with applications to biomedical and health research.
As I develop my M.S. thesis research, I am exploring methodological problems motivated by health and biomedical applications. My long-term goal is to develop statistical methodology while collaborating with researchers across disciplines to address meaningful biomedical problems.
