Participation in the Scientific Seminar
I have participated in many conferences, workshops, and scientific seminars to share my research findings.
Research Training from International Organizations
I completed hands-on training in nucleic acid extraction through a USAID-funded program supported by IEDCR (DGHS) in collaboration with icddr,b, and received RT-PCR training for COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 detection through the Bangladesh Society of Microbiologists (University of Dhaka) and BITID. I also trained in computer-aided drug design (molecular docking and simulation) at the Red Green Research Center (Dhaka). Additionally, I participated in an NIH-funded international brain health and neurotoxicity research capacity-building program, delivered jointly with Sam Houston State University (USA) and partners including icddr,b, UChicago Research Bangladesh, Columbia University (New York), and national collaborators (BSMMU, NSU), focused on epidemiological investigations and outcome assessments in rural Bangladeshi children.
Researchers at Advanced Molecular Lab
Contributed to Develope SARS-CoV-2 Diagnostic Lab
One of the important community services during COVID-19 was distributing masks and hand sanitizers. I have participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and scientific seminars to share my research findings. At the very beginning of the pandemic situation with inadequate PPE and limited laboratory infrastructure, I contributed to developing and installing multiple SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic laboratories in Bangladesh, including Cumilla Medical College, NSTU COVID-19 Diagnostic Lab, Gonoshasthaya Molecular Diagnostic Center, and President Abdul Hamid Medical College.
Team Leader for NSTU COVID-19 Laboratory
As a team leader and senior research assistant for the NSTU COVID-19 lab under Dr. Firoz Ahmed, I led a team of over 200 graduate-level Microbiology students to detect COVID-19 for the national epidemiological surveillance system.
Recognition of Volunteer Work By National Newspaper
Laboratory Quality Control Recognition By IEDCR
The quality of diagnosis during the COVID-19 national surveillance program was checked and resulted in 100% accuracy in external quality assessments conducted by the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) and DG Health Campus, Mohakhali, Dhaka. Wastewater Sample Collection for Microbial Analysis
Wastewater samples were collected from the drain, sewage system, rail stations, bus stations, communal ponds, and other public locations as hotspots to represent the whole community.
Distribution of Hand Sanitizers for COVID-19
One of the important community services during COVID-19 was distributing masks and hand sanitizers. I have participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and scientific seminars to share my research findings
Fall 2025 Move-In Welcome Krewe (Volunteers)
Housing and Residence Life was looking for volunteers to help with undergrad move-in from August 10 to August 16, 2025. I did volunteer work to help new students at the Tulane campus. It was also fun to meet new students.
Performing Laboratory Experiment
My goal is not only the detection of disease but also the saving of human lives by new treatment stretegies against infectious diseases.
