Drafted and finalized research protocol on Myalgic encephalomyelitis caused by Long COVID and investigating the function of extracellular vehicles in TGF-β2-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition and fibrosis in ARPE-19 cells under the direction of Dr. Shusheng Wang (Wang lab).
Laboratory Head (2022 – 2024), Advanced Molecular Lab, President Abdul Hamid Medical College, Bangladesh
Established the advanced molecular laboratory in the peripheral region of Bangladesh, able to diagnose SARS-CoV-2, Dengue, Human Papilloma Virus, Hepatitis B and C Virus, antibiotic-resistant and pathogenic bacteria. This laboratory serves underprivileged communities by detecting infectious diseases and performing research in diverse fields.
Supervised one student for his master's thesis focusing on biomarker identification for premature rupture of membrane (PROM) in Kishoreganj, Bangladesh: A prospective case-control study.
Completed two government-funded research projects for the identification of multidrug-resistant bacteria from human and environmental samples and the diagnosis of cervical cancer by HPV using RT-qPCR and conventional methods.

Accomplished collaborative Water Aid-funded research project with KTH Royal Institute (Professor Prasun Bhattacharya); North South University (Professor Muhammad Maqsud Hossain); Gazipur Agricultural University, Gazipur- 1706, Bangladesh (Dr. M. Nazmul Hoque) for wastewater-based surveillance of the SARS-CoV-2 to predict early signals.
Secured additional funding from North South University, Bangladesh, for this project through grant writing.
Served as a project co-principal investigator in the whole-genome sequence of SARS-CoV-2 from the southern part of Bangladesh to observe the mutational changes, funded by North South University, Bangladesh.

Collected and processed samples from various environmental and biological sources to support the senior’s master’s thesis, detected pathogenic, multidrug-resistant, and beneficial bacteria using conventional biochemical assays, microscopy, antibiotic susceptivity pattern, and used molecular methods.
Gained hands-on experience on mouse model experiments, including dissection, extraction of DNA, RNA, and Protein, and completed part of research projects using in vivo and in vitro experiments on mice blood after drug administration for observing gene expression.
Participated in different research projects for the identification of pathogenic and multidrug-resistant bacteria from diverse sources, including poultry, cow milk, and environmental sources, using PCR and RT-PCR.
