Hi, my name is Raine. I use they/them/theirs pronouns. This is my third year at McVay, and I’m a junior at Hamline majoring in Psychology with a minor in Environmental Studies. In my free time, I enjoy writing, reading, crafting, and yoga.

I am a senior fellow and van driver for McVay, and this is my second year with the McVay Youth Partnership.

I am a biochemistry major at Hamline, and I hope to get involved with research and development and plan on attending graduate school to obtain my PhD. I am currently thinking about getting into teaching.

In my spare time, I love getting outside and going on walks and being in nature. I also love golfing, playing basketball, fishing, and playing video games.

Ethan Heide is a third-year at Hamline University planning to major in Elementary Education. They love to do art, write music, and spend an unhealthy amount of time watching educational YouTube videos. Ethan is incredibly excited to start working at McVay as a fellow and hopes to better themself and their community through their work.

Hello! My name is Sabrina Hanson (she/her/hers) and I am a senior this year at Hamline. I am majoring in Psychology and minoring in Criminal Justice. I love working with youth, and I believe McVay is an amazing way for me to connect with the youth and gain more experience for future endeavors. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing sports, and watching all my favorite shows and movies! Besides working with McVay, I am also an Residential Assistant on campus so I will be pretty busy. I look forward to this year and meeting everyone!

My name is Christian Ruegg, and I am a Senior Fellow at Mounds. My pronouns are He/Him/His. I am a Senior at Hamline University studying Criminology/ Criminal Justice. I'm from Apple Vally, Minnesota. In my free time, I like to be with friends and family, spend time outside, play video games, and listen to music. 

Hi, my name is Eleanor Gale and I am a senior fellow at Grace. This will be my fourth year with McVay and I adore it. At school I am a senior studying psychology. When I first started with McVay I was a creative arts associate and I still try to do as many crafts with the youth as I can. I’m always excited to do things that both the staff and students can enjoy that helps us create such a fun environment at McVay.

Hi, I’m KJ Holec! I’m a senior at Hamline University majoring in psychology and minoring in criminology. I had the honor of joining McVay in May of 2022, so this will be my third full school year working with everyone! I am from Des Moines, Iowa, and some of my hobbies are lifting, running, creating lyrics, singing, and drawing. I’m excited to meet new students and build great connections at McVay this year! 

Hi! My name is Frog Tolstad (they/them). I am a Junior at Hamline University majoring in Education with a concentration in English as a Second Language and Anthropology. I am a Fellow at Hazel Park. In my free time, I enjoy playing nerdy card games (Pokémon and Yugioh), drinking tea, learning languages, and playing Legend of Zelda games. 

Hello! My name is Litzy Lopez. I am a second year at Hamline. I plan to major in Legal Studies with a minor in Spanish. In my free time, I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, and watch movies. I am excited to work with the students and staff of McVay!

Hello! My name is Matias and I am a second-year student at Hamline University planning to study Communications and Spanish. I love to play each and every sport out there and enjoy spending as much time outside. I am super excited to embark on my first year working with McVay!

Hello everyone, I am Sadikshya Paudel an international student from Nepal. I am currently enrolled in Hamline University as a Legal studies major and am a Fellow in Mcvay. I joined Mcvay during my freshmen year and had a very incredible experience throughout. I felt really welcomed by the staffs, youths, and everyone involved in the program. I believe that the best way to learn is through experience, so I try to take on new challenges whenever possible. And above all else, I value integrity and authenticity in myself and others. I am so excited to join Mcvay as a Fellow and am looking forward to everything that I can offer to this big community!

Hello, My name is Kajshia and the J in my name is silent! I use she/her pronouns. I'm a junior this year at Hamline University and I major in Digital Media arts/Digital Studio arts. During my free time, I would read some novels that I like and do some illustrating on my computer and phone. This is my second year at Mcvay and I hope to earn more experience while I work with the other staff members and students. 

My name is Eli Malecha. I use He/Him pronouns. I am a junior at Hamline this year, and I am majoring in Forensic Science. I am a van driver this year at McVay! I enjoy listening to music and spending time with friends.

I am the current Editor-in-Chief of Untold Magazine and the Graphics Coordinator in Student Activites & Leadership Development. I am currently a van driver for McVay and enjoy getting to know all of the Youth!

Hey y’all! I’m a senior studying Psychology and Computer Data Science at Hamline. I love making people laugh and smile, I love to lift at the gym and hangout with my friends. I am the Sports Associate at Mcvay and nothing is more fun this year than getting to the know the McVay Staff and Youth.

Hello! My name is Conan Searcy. I use he/him/his pronouns and I’m currently a second year studying finance. Outside of McVay, I work on campus as a New Student Mentor, helping empower and educate first-year students. I’m also a part of the HULC( Hamline University Leadership Club) which focuses on peer wellness and leadership. In my free time, I enjoy exploring different places, trying new foods, playing sports such as basketball/baseball, hanging out with friends, and learning new things. I’m excited to be a part of the McVay!

I have been to eight states and four countries. I enjoy playing pool, Mario Kart on the Switch, and playing video games with my friends.

A little about me is I played football and wrestled in high school. I also love playing and watching sports. I have two wonderful dogs and a cat. I have been to Paris, London, and all across Europe.
