My name is Emma Coppola and I'm a Public Health Major at Hamline. I'm a third year and have enjoyed my experience here a lot so far! I love meeting new people and spending time with friends and family. I'm excited to join the McVay family!

Hi, my name is Eleanor Gale and I am a senior fellow at Grace. This will be my second year with McVay and I adore it. At school I am a sophomore studying psychology. When I first started with McVay I was a creative arts associate and I still try to do as many crafts with the youth as I can. I’m always excited to do things that both the staff and students can enjoy that helps us create such a fun environment at McVay.

Hi, My name is Bri Cook. I am majoring in Clinical psychology and minoring in music. I am planning on becoming a Therapist and doing musical therapy with my patients. I love to sing, dance, read and write. Along with Mcvay I am also a New Student Mentor and I am a Mentor for the PAC. 

Hello, My name is Lao Vang. I use He/Him/His as pronouns and I am currently a Senior majoring in Public Health Science. This is my second year working for Mcvay. I chose to work for Mcvay because I love working with kids. It’s interesting to see how they grow and progress as time goes on. What I like to do on my free time is going on peaceful hikes alone and love listening to music. I enjoy Korean food and food in general. My favorite ice cream is Ube or matcha green tea.

I had the honor of joining McVay in May of 2022, so this will be my first full school year working with everyone! Hello! My name is Kayla and I'm a fourth year student at Hamline. I'm a double major in Anthropology and Religion Studies with a minor in Chinese language. In my free time, I like to hang out with my pet dogs and rabbits and care for my succulent garden!

Nathaniel is a theater Kid at heart and loves to play music; although he loves playing games even more. He is excited to be working as a Fellow this year at First Covenant Church (FCC) and hopes he can bring his love for fun to this year's activities. Although creation is his passion, he also loves learning and will talk your ear off at length about any new subject that interests him if you let him. Some things he's doing include recording an album, performing in the upcoming Hamline production of Eurydice, and assisting with the musical being put on at FCC.

Ethan Heide is a first-year at Hamline University planning to major in Elementary Education. I enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction books, watching anime and learning languages. I am working as a STEM associate hoping to help students with STEM related courses and certainly sharing my interest in the sciences with them. Hi all! My name is Maddie Swanson and I am a van driver for Grace and a staff member at McVay! I use she/her/hers pronouns and I am a junior at Hamline majoring in Public Health Sciences and Environmental Studies, hoping to pursue a Masters in Public Administration or Public Health upon graduation. At Hamline, I am also a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team and I am Hamline Undergraduate Student Congress (HUSC) Internal Co-President alongside External President, Emily Hilderbrand. 

I started at McVay in the summer of 2022 as a staff member and received my van certification to drive for McVay. I have really enjoyed meeting and spending time with all of the youth and my favorite memory was enjoying our final summer programming day swimming and jumping off of the rocks at Como Pool with the staff and youth

Hello, I'm Naomi! I am a junior at Hamline and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am double majoring in Global Studies and Spanish and double minoring in Religion and Anthropology. In my spare time I love to go on road trips, explore national parks, write poetry, go hammocking, and try local restaurants. I started this summer as a van driver for Grace and I am so excited to continue with McVay when I return from studying in Costa Rica!

I just started with McVay but I’ve been working with younger youth since I was 13 years old! I am interested in the arts, theatre, singing and dancing, reading and poetry. When I’m not in McVay, I’m probably participating in school extracurricular activities like Track and Field and Anime and Manga club.
