Events.

One of Alliance's purposes is to make sure there is support available for social economy organisations in Manchester. In order to ensure this support exists, different partners of the Alliance run different events for social economy organisations. 

Backed by Manchester City Council Work & Skills team, the MSEA will embark on a series of events in Manchester from February 2024, including: crowd funding/SOUP events, Meet the Commissioner, Participatory Budgeting, and events to support Social Entrepreneurs develop their business models and funding applications.

MSEA LAUNCH EVENT FEBRUARY 2024 

Attendees got into the mix with a lively discussion about where Manchester's social economy is headed and how MSEA can lead the way. 


In February 2024, the Manchester Social Economy Alliance (MSEA) kicked off something big at the DiSh Digital Hub.

This event wasn't just a launch; it was a peek into what's coming next for MSEA, with exciting and diverse support lined up for social economy groups. Angela Harrington, Head of Work and Skills at Manchester City Council, shared how boosting the social economy is key to the new Manchester Economic Strategy for growth that includes everyone.
