Post-Doctoral Research Training Opportunity

University of Florida

A full-time, postdoctoral research fellowship position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ashley J. Smuder in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida. The position is supported by a NIH funding to study the effects of exercise on cardiorespiratory muscle function.

Highly motivated candidates with a PhD, MD or equivalent degree with a focus in physiology, exercise physiology or cellular or molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Area of prior research experience is flexible, but demonstrated expertise in muscle biology is highly desirable. Technical expertise with basic biochemical, cell culture and immunohisto/cytochemistry techniques is desirable. 

Please submit a curriculum vitae or NIH biosketch and a one-page cover letter detailing research experience and goals during a postdoctoral fellowship to asmuder@ufl.edu. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Start date is negotiable, but could be as early as January 1, 2024. Salary commensurate with experience level, following NIH guidance.
