Introduction

Welcome to the Molecular Cardiology and Myology Laboratory at the University of Florida. Work in our laboratory is focused on understanding the molecular signaling pathways that promote cardiac and skeletal muscle dysfunction following disease or periods of prolonged inactivity. Our current research is focused on determining the mechanisms by which physical activity can preserve cardiorespiratory muscle function following exposure to chemotherapy.
