AUG 11, 2026 FIG SEASON UPDATE
YOU PICK FIG SEASON CANCELED
With a heavy heart, we are making the tough decision to cancel our fig you pick season this year. We just do not see the quantities of figs to justify doing a proper you pick. Our main orchard has rebounded well after the snow, ice, and harsh cold of winter. But the new trees are focused on growth rather than fig production.
Our Brown Turkey and Celeste trees are producing figs. We are selling figs for pickup at the farm for $12/lb.,
minimum 2 lb. orders. Message the farm to check availability.
Fresh Figs are picked for same day pickup.
We also have fig trees for sale as well as frozen figs.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2025
So much fun yesterday with our group picking figs. We love this social media post so much we had to share it here too!
Thanks for picking us!

"What an amazing and relaxing experience. I learned so much and didn't know there were so many types of figs with different taste. I learned how to determine when figs are ready to pick, how long figs can sit before preparing, and was even given a few recipes! Thank you Farmer Larry for the white glove service! I'll be back!"

"Our guided fig picking tour and tasting was amazing. Take the whole family... figs are here for a good time, not a long time."

These are the 4 fig varieties we currently have in production on our farm. Our main orchard contains 13 trees approximately nine years old as of 2025. We are in our 4th season of you pick figs. Our "mother fig tree" is a 13 year old brown turkey fig growing behind our farmhouse. We are excited to be planting more fig trees this year to expand the varieties we are growing. We have started propagating our fig trees and have select varieties for sale in our garden center and online.
We got a chance to visit McConnell's Farm in Hendersonville, NC. Love what they are doing with figs. Be on the look out for their Fig Festival in September. I'm hoping to sneak away and attend one year!

Granny loved figs. I loved picking them! And eating her preserves of course. Now I love figs straight from the tree. So glad I planted our orchard seven years ago. And even more thrilled that we are expanding this year!
