the fun page
If musical futures were based on 4th grade recorder performance, no one would expect a section of this website to include anything related music. While I didn't start as the strongest musician, I finally fell into the groove a couple of years into playing the oboe. I'm now on my 5th year of playing the oboe, and I've enjoyed many opportunities to play at my university and beyond. Recent ensembles include the UAH Wind Ensemble, Huntsville Summer Band/Orchestra, and UAH Chamber Ensembles. While most people don't expect an aerospace engineer to be an oboist, I've found aspects of music to be as challenging as the hardcore engineering courses, just in a different way. When I'm not making rockets, you can find me making reeds!

In December 2017, I had the opportunity to visit the NASA Stennis Space Center and watch a 7 minute firing of the RS-25 engine.
Let it sno-boe.

This was an amazing opportunity I had through the NASA Propulsion Academy. If given the opportunity, jump out of a plane at least once.
