Still-Life

Still life

In a still life, the artist usual sets up the arrangement, and has control over the composition. When you look at still life, you notice the subject, shadow, light, and texture of the objects which are depicted through the artist's eye.

Still life is the arrangement of objects. Usually fruit, flowers, or items you might see on a side table or dining room table. Still life has evolved to become any arrangement of objects you might find in your home or room.

Look around your home... What do you find interesting? what would you like to draw?

A still life can also be a collage

A collage is an image that is made from pieces that are assembled. Commonly, cut or torn paper are used in collage. Fabric, cardboard, textiles, or plastic may also be used in collage.
