Join our Mental Wellness Workshop to learn how to take charge of your mental health on Saturday, January 31 from 11 AM to 2 PM at MCC in sha Allah! This workshop is specifically focused on anxiety, trauma, and adolescent (ages 13-17) mental health with curated presentations from Muslim mental health experts. This workshop will allow you to recognize the signs and symptoms, understand the relevance of mental health as found in the Quran, and where to start to find help! We will also hold a Q&A at the end of the workshop, so add your questions to our anonymous questionnaire.

(Trauma Presentation):
Michelle Renee Davis, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Where Faith Meets Mental Health, a private therapy practice serving clients in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. She holds a Master’s degree in Trauma Counseling from Eastern University and specializes in integrating evidence-based treatment with Islamic principles to promote emotional and spiritual healing.
(Adolescent Presentation):
Kendra Gainey is a Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adolescents, adult women, couples, and families. Her work centers on communication, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and life transitions through a compassionate, evidence-based approach grounded in Islamic values. Guided by the Qur’anic principle that change begins within (Qur’an 13:11), Kendra supports clients in making meaningful, lasting change.
(Anxiety Presentation):
Natasha Deen is a Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCPC) and has her own private practice, Golden Hour Counseling where she offers services in Maryland and Virginia. She supports adult children of immigrants navigating trauma, anxiety, and balancing culture and relationships. Natasha specializes in Brainspotting and Islamic-Based Therapy.
