Momentum Blue Seattle (MBS). We’re a women-led group in the greater Seattle area working to defend democracy and support one another through meaningful action, community, and courage.
We Stay Grounded in Three Commitments:
Resist and speak up — through action, visibility, and mutual encouragement
Stay organized and connected — with like-minded people and partner groups
Build community — finding sanity, hope, and even joy in the work
We meet both virtually and in person, so we keep membership local to the greater Seattle area. Members stretch from Shoreline to Renton and the Eastside — with a few “long-distance cousins” cheering from afar.
Our activities include:
Weekly check-in and planning meetings online. All MBS members are encouraged to attend.
Postcard writing parties. We're now in the lead up to the midterm elections and we are ramping up our efforts. Please join us in writing postcards. All are welcome.
We make and distribute protest signs and buttons. This is probably what we are best known for locally. See the sign page and the button page. We also coordinate a t-shirt fundraiser for WAND (Washington Neighborhood Defense). See our pages on SIGNS, BUTTONS, and T-SHIRTS.
A monthly reading/discussion group (online). Sometimes we read a book or selection of articles and sometimes we watch a selection of videos. We look for materials to help us revision a future of care for all not profits for a few. We welcome all MBS members and friends.
