Join A Meeting
We meet weekly via Zoom, alternating times to accommodate schedules:
Mondays, 7:00–8:00 PM
Wednesdays, 10:00–11:00 AM
Join whichever works best for you — or come to both.
Each meeting link and a preliminary agenda is emailed in advance. While we aim to make good use of our time together, we try to keep the agenda flexible so members can add topics or needs as they arise.
How We Stay Connected
1. Signal (Group Chat)
Our group chat is hosted on Signal — a secure, private messaging app.
Download Signal from the App Store or Google Play and search “MBS Planning Group.” Request to join, and we’ll add you in. If you need help, just reach out.
2. Basecamp (Project Hub)
We use Basecamp to organize projects, share files, plan actions, and track events. Jim Little manages the addition of new members.
What We Do Together
Protest signs + resistance buttons
We’ve produced and distributed hundreds across the Puget Sound area — always free, with optional donations to fund the next batch. Designs by our brilliant Barbara Taylor.
Reading & discussion groups
We learn from thinkers like Rebecca Solnit, Timothy Snyder, Anand Giridharadas, and Anat Shenker-Osorio.
Community support + idea-sharing
Articles, memes, actions, reflection, and encouragement — activism with heart.
Showing up
We attend rallies, protests, and other coordinated actions together.
Fun fact:
Momentum Blue’s earliest members included a group of friends who play old-time music — fiddles, banjos, guitars — the kind of music you can square dance or waltz to!
“Since Momentum Blue’s founding in July 2024, I’ve gained several new close friends that I treasure. It’s a great group of mostly women with hearts and minds at work for the survival and improvement of our democracy.”
— Lynn Adams, founding member
