Travel Basketball League
The MBA Travel program is an option for more experienced and skilled players who have a desire to play in a highly competitive basketball league. Our Travel teams play in the Inter-County Basketball Association (ICBA) league. Teams are formed by gender and grade, from 3rd to 8th grades. All interested players must register for tryouts, participate in at least one tryout session and be invited to join a Travel team.
MBA plans to host separate grade-level boys and girls Travel teams for kids in grades 3rd - 8th. Actual grade-level teams offered each season depends on player availability and qualification at each grade level, having a confirmed volunteer coach and team acceptance by the ICBA league.
Travel team tryouts typically take place in mid-September with practices begin in mid-October and continuing throughout the end of the season. The regular season runs from mid-December through February, and playoffs conclude by mid-March. Each Travel player pays a Travel program fee and an additional uniform fee.

MBA is hosting open gym sessions in advance of travel tryouts. The purpose is to give players an opportunity to start preparing for tryouts in a structured environment. Any player potentially interested in playing travel is invited and encouraged to participate.
Come out and get ready for tryouts by working on your fundamentals and game-play experience. The sessions are free but registration is required.

Open Gym Schedule
The open gym schedule by grade and gender is below (grade is defined as the grade the player will be in Fall 2026). All open gyms will be held at Montgomery Township Recreation Center (MRC), 1030 Horsham Rd, Montgomeryville, PA 18936.
Girls 3rd and Girls 4th - Mon Aug 31st, 7:00 - 8:00pm
Girls 5th - Wed Sep 2nd, 6:00 - 7:00pm
Girls 6th - Wed Sep 2nd, 7:00 - 8:00pm
Girls 7th and Girls 8th - Mon Aug 31st, 8:00 - 9:00pm
Boys 3rd and Boys 4th - Mon Aug 31st, 6:00 - 7:00pm
