• MBA REC RULES & REGULATIONS - The rules and regulations for in-house game play by grade school division (K-8th)

• CODE OF CONDUCT -  We expect all coaches, players, referees and spectators to follow the code of conduct and treat each other with respect

• SYSTEMS & EQUIPMENT - Each season the MBA will provide our head coaches with gym time, two new basketballs, and a TeamSnap account to help manage their team schedule, communications and player availability. MBA will ensure a scoreboard clock is available at each facility prior to game play and downloadable coaching resources needed to facilitate game play are linked above. Any other desired equipment or resources are at the expense and responsibility of the coach/team. 

• WEATHER EVENTS - We are at the mercy of mother nature and the availability of each individual gym facility. If a facility remains open, the games will be played as scheduled. If a facility closes, any games scheduled for that day will be cancelled. 

• CANCELLATIONS - Practice cancellations due to weather, facility issues or gym closures are unlikely to be rescheduled. Our staff will make every effort to reschedule any game cancellations due to weather, facility issues or gym closures. However, it is not always possible to reschedule games due to a number of limiting factors and some cancelled games may not be able to be rescheduled. 

• WEATHER & CANCELLATION COMMUNICATIONS - An email communication and social media post will be sent to the entire MBA community in the event of inclement weather, facility issues or gym closures that impact scheduled events across the entire league. An email communication will be sent to the impacted teams in the event of inclement weather, facility issues or gym closures that impact specific teams. Coaches should also then send a direct communication to their teams confirming the impact to the team.  

MBA Picture Day 2026

• MBA Picture Day - will be Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Montgomery Rec Center

• MBA Picture Day Schedule - a schedule for each team's appointment time will be published in advance and communicated by your team's coach. Team picture appointments run every 10 minutes from 8am - 6pm Eastern Time.
