My journey—from growing up in Korea to studying in China, working in global business, and eventually settling in Utah—has shown me how language shapes identity, connection, and belonging. After becoming a mom, I realized how much I wanted my daughters to inherit not just Korean words but the humor, values, and worldview behind them. Even in an age of AI translation, true connection still comes from using your own voice. That belief inspired me to start teaching Korean and build a small community club where language becomes a bridge to culture and authentic human connection.
