Congratulations to Mayomania 2025 Champion - Mayonesa Baldom.
Angela Deards made and shared this Google Form to predict the winners of each round of the competition. You can copy the original form in the shared Google Drive folder under the additional resources tab.
I put an example of an AI Podcast using Google's NotebookLM under the Additional Resources tab. It's worth checking out to see just what it can do and think about other applications of it for your classes.
Each day of voting for the 2025 Mayomanía will feature FIVE commercials! All of the commercials this year have a song of some sort. Some are new and many are repeats from past years. For the first time ever each day of voting will feature at least one commercial that is not for mayonnaise. Several other condiments, sauces, spices, and more will challenge our beloved mayonesa for the title.
Join our Mayomanía Teachers Google Group to share ideas and resources and ask questions. - Mayomanía Teachers Google Group (After you follow the link click on the "Ask to join group" button at the top of the page and I'll add you as soon as I can.)
Voting results will only be posted for the 2025 Mayomanía competition. You are still free to use the 2024, 2023 commercials and Google Form voting templates to run your own competition with those. All are either linked on this site or in the shared resources folder.
I welcome and encourage collaboration here. Please send any links to Mayomanía activities you have created and are willing to share.

The goal of this event and website is to provide teachers and students with something educational and entertaining. It's meant to be a little ridiculous. With that said, I hope you enjoy the commercials and resources and learn something new.

Watching commercials in another language is a great way to learn new words and phrases, and to better understand the culture, practices, and perspectives of Spanish speakers as they are represented through advertising.
