APICS is a supply chain case competition. This year's competition asked teams to identify opportunities for improvement in one of the manufacturing plants for a hypothetical juice-packing company, as well as recommendations for improving their plants nationwide to boost company performance.
I worked with a team of three other mechanical engineering undergraduates at UT Austin for this competition. We identified the worst-performing plant at this company, and then considered its factory efficiency, materials management, and asset care when offering our solutions. We delivered a 10-minute video presentation as our submission for the competition. See our final slides below:
