As part of my Dynamics class, we had the option to do an extra credit project in which we designed a launcher that could launch a tennis ball over a wall to hit a target. The launcher had to meet certain size requirements and be built within a $50 budget.
A team of two other students and I designed a launcher for this project. Although we were not able to physically build our launcher due to coronavirus, we completed a thorough theoretical analysis explaining the dynamics of our launcher and the kinematics of the tennis ball. We designed and modeled our launcher's components and identified the parts we would have needed to build it.
