The Princeton Prize in Race Relations (PPRR) recognizes and rewards high schools students who, through their volunteer activities, have undertaken significant efforts to advance racial equity and understanding in their school and communities.
As a PPRR recipient, I traveled to Princeton University for the 2024 Symposium on Race where I collaborated with other nationally recognized youth activists including Faith Fennidy (champion of the Crown Act) and Mina Fedor (AYR: AAPI Youth Rising).
The Gold Award is the highest recognition for a Girl Scout and is earned by less than 6% of Girl Scouts annually. Gold Award Girl Scouts identify an issue in their community and create a "take action" project to address the issue. The Girl Scout must recruit a committee, write a comprehensive proposal and get approval from the San Diego Girl Scout Council.
I created the African American Mentor Program (AAMPed) as my Gold Award Project.
The Regents' and Chancellor's Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship offered to incoming undegraduate students at UC Berkeley. The scholarship is extended to a select cohort of Berkeley undergraduates who stand out for their creativity, service, leadership and strong convictions. Candidates reflect one of the highest principles of UC Berkeley: commitment to excellence.

The vision of the Ron Brown Scholar Program is to cultivate the next generation of transformational leaders who positively impact their communities and blaze new paths in their chosen careers and professions.
Each year, approximately 5,000 high school seniors compete for the $40,000 Ron Brown Scholarship. Candidate undergo a rigorous screening and 40-50 are selected for the merit and need based scholarship. The remaining top 2-3% are awarded the distinction of "Captain" and are selected to join the invitation-only Ron Brown-Ruth and Norman Rales Leaders Network, where they receive personal and professional services alongside the scholars.
The RISE San Diego ILEA Awards honors and celebrates leaders who are making a real difference in the San Diego region.
The Next-Gen Influencer award honors an individual between the ages of 16-25. It recognizes the voice of young adults who have shown dedication and action within their communities and are growing into their roles as action-driven thought leaders.
This program recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing one or more languages in addition to English.
The President's Volunteer Service Award is bestowed on behalf of the President of the United States. The PVSA recognizes citizens who volunteer a certain amount of hours in a twelve month period. To earn the Silver Award, honorees need to volunteer 150+ hours within a calendar year.
I volunteered in a variety of activities including mentoring middle school students, volunteering at events related to Girl Scouts, volunteering at countless school sponsored afterschool activities and other charitable events.

I wrote a report on my AAMPed Mentor Program service project, and an essay about how the project aligned with the American founding principles. Winners exemplify a spirit of community service, citizenship, and civic engagement.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund empowers students and parents with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education, while providing support services and scholarships to as many exceptional students, HSF Scholars, and Alumni as possible.

The Student Research Foundation receives over 5,000 scholarship applications and awards 10 scholarships. Award recipients must write an essay describing a need or a problem in the community an how you have addressed the issue. I earned the award for my essay on starting a mentor program to create sense of belonging for African American students in my community. Video Link
The Elks Lodge, Teen of the Month Scholarship, recognizes high school seniors for their academic achievements and contribution to the community.
I wrote a persuasive essay about the value of the MTS pilot program that offers free public transportation passes for youth. I won a laptop and attended a virtual award ceremony where I was recognized by the President of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors.
The College Board National African American Recognition Program is awarded to the top 10% of African American students on the PSAT.
The College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program is awarded to the top 10% of Hispanic students on the PSAT.
The College Board AP Scholar Award, recognizes students who receive a score of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. I earned the AP Scholar Award and anticipate earning the AP Scholar with Distinction which is awarded to students who score a 3 or higher on 5 AP exams and earn an overall 3.5 average on all AP exams taken.
