ACADEMICS & RESEARCH
We conducted research on whether snow density varies at different altitudes. We gathered data at base camp (4,545 feet) up to the summit (5,315 feet) of the Gulkana Glacier. We received in-the-field mentorship from a professional glaciologist.
After conducting research on the Gulkana Glacier, we compiled our findings at the science labs at the University of Alaska. We presented our findings at a virtual presentation to donors such as REI and the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
