Inspiring Girls Expedition, Girls on Ice: I was selected for a competitive full scholarship to conduct environmental research on the remote Gulkana Glacier. Our team backpacked across the Alaska wilderness, lived in tents and learned from a professional glaciologist, mountaineer, and artist. Girls on Ice was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I made lifelong friends from across the country.

Beach Volleyball: I am a founding member of our school beach volleyball team. I had never played before but made it to CIF playoffs and CIF semifinals in my three years on the team. Last season, my partner and I went 10-0 in regular season.

Competitive Soccer: I have played soccer for 13 years. I am team captain for my club soccer team and I enjoy motivating my team through humor, positivity and enthusiasm. I also lead drills and implement strategy with my coaches.

Beach Lover: I live 25 minutes from the beach and the ocean is my escape. During the pandemic, I taught myself to surf, paddleboard and kayak. I also completed two years of California State Junior Beach Lifeguard training at Silver Strand State Beach.

Nature and Adventure: I grew up with an appreciation for nature. My family raised me to enjoy camping instead of fancy hotels.  My hiking boots are my favorite pair of shoes! When I have free time, I try to visit a new national or state park with my family or with friends.
