On this page you will find initiatives I took for fun but also to create new opportunities for myself.
Boels Rental Intership
During my internship at the Fleet Excellence department, I had the opportunity to contribute to several key initiatives while also experiencing significant personal growth.
1. Rehire Process Enhancement:
-Conducted thorough research and analysis to identify pain points within the Rehire process.
-Developed both short-term and long-term strategies for improving the Rehire process.
2. Suppliers Code of Conduct Implementation:
-Researched the implementation of a comprehensive Suppliers Code of Conduct.
-Designed and implemented an automated signing process using Docusign, ensuring transparency
within Boels Rental.
-Managed signers’ registration and facilitated communication between stakeholders.
3. Universal Project Management Tool:
-Researched and conceptualized a universal project management tool to enhance collaboration and streamline project workflows.
-Proficiently worked with Jira and ClickUp to create a customized solution that met the diverse needs of different teams within the organization.
4. Intranet Tab Enhancement:
-Played a pivotal role in enhancing the Fleet department’s intranet tab.
-Improved the user experience by organizing information, optimizing navigation, and ensuring relevant content was easily accessible to all Boels employees.
Personal Growth Points:
1. Communication Skills within a Large Organization:
-Working within a large organization exposed me to diverse teams, stakeholders, and communication channels. I learned the essence of clear, structured and efficient communication.
-I improved my ability to convey complex ideas clearly, adapt my communication style to different audiences, and collaborate effectively across departments.
2. Big Picture Thinking:
-While researching and creating plans, I improved big picture thinking and considered the broader context and long-term impact of my work.
I am proud of the professional growth I achieved during my internship, and I look forward to applying these skills in my future endeavors.
Saam Doet Het Internship
In January of 2023 I started an internship at Saam Doet Het. This internship was closely linked with school. In 16 weeks we created an innovative solution to a problem Saam has. The internship was one day a week. In these weeks we went through the complete innovation cycle. From problemfinding to realisation. Our goals for the solution were that it could be implemented really swiftly and that it could be done without external help. In these 16 weeks I learned a lot about the functioning of a company and how to get things done within. At last we created a brilliant solution which is called Saam+. This solution is being implemented right at this time and I am very proud of it.
In January of 2021 I created a LinkedIn account. I did this because I thought it was a good idea to start creating a network as early as possible. Through this network I can create opportunities for myself that might not have been possible before. I setup my account and started connecting with people. When I connect with people I always send a message along with my request so they immediately know my interest with them. My network has grown quickly with people from the Automotive and Motorsport industries. I now have over 700 connections and it keeps growing day by day. I have connections at Ferrari, Mclaren, F1, Aston Martin, Pagani, Porsche and several other huge companies within the Automotive and Innovation spaces. I have been offered internships through some of my contacts. I initially accomplished this in only half a year, before starting college, and without knowing anyone in these industries. Now that I am in college, my network keeps on growing with people from various different industries.
Feel free to connect to me on LinkedIn!
Racing Central
Racing Central is an Instagram page that I created for fun in July of 2018. This page is mainly about Formula 1 but also other motor sports. On this page, I posted daily content about Formula 1 which consisted of news, polls and so called 'memes'. The page grew quickly, within 2 months the page reached 1000 followers and in 4 months it doubled to 2000 followers. In 2019 I was contacted by a person from Italy and he offered to help me maintain the daily content. In 2019 Racing Central also became an affiliated website for www.thegpbox.com. The GP Box is a website where you can buy motor sport related goods. We were able to generate income through this page. In the mean time, we posted an ad for additional help to maintain our page and received several applicants. in the end, we chose a person from Spain. In the beginning of 2020 we had 5000 followers and the page grew to around 5800 followers. At this point in time I was in my last year of high school and needed to fully focus on my studies so I decided to stop posting. My 2 admins were also very busy with school so the page has decreased in followers. I loved creating it, seeing the page grow and I also loved the interaction between followers.
