Industry

Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems

From 2013-2015, I served as a Systems Engineer II/III and trade study lead.  I developed algorithms for optical and infrared data processing, and determined the costs and benefits of algorithmic changes in terms of the accomplishment and performance of various metrics.  I also developed internal research and development proposals, including one to accelerate image processing with the Map Reduce methodology that was incorporated into a winning proposal.

Neva Ridge Technologies

From 2007-2008, I worked at Neva Ridge Technologies (now General Atomics) as a research scientist.  There, I analyzed DifSAR data to detect subsidence due to groundwater usage, and searched for seasonal trends among the data.  Matlab and Lomb-Scargle periodograms were tools that I became proficient with during this time.
