In this sub-project, we aim to investigate synthesized nano- and two-dimensional (2D) material properties and apply them in electrochemical sensors, paper-based colorimetric sensors, and thin-film solar cells. Developed electrochemical sensors are for glucose detection that is used as a marker for diabetic diagnosis, whereas the latter is for iodide detection in salt. Methods and concepts for the fabrication of these analytical devices will be patented and published in peer-reviewed journals. Patents are expected to be granted and technology transfer to future partner companies including Thaung Enterprise and Uniance Gene for commercial purposes. This will benefit the scientific capability of RUPP in advanced applied researches and the sustainability of this research project.
