Our laboratory has machines for 3D fabrication, such as a vacuum former and a 3D printer. We can now make things and 3D objects by ourselves in the research laboratory. We are using these machines for the development of sensing devices.

There were so many students joining this school event. From our lab, we showed conductive pens containing silver nanoparticle and carbon nanotube ink. These pens allow handwriting to draw conductive patterns on paper. Another item we showed was thermochromic cups which change their color when it contains hot water. With the help of MFL's members, we made interesting things about science.
All is to promote science!

We are developing paper-based sensor that is simple and disposable. We used fruits as ingredient for pH indicator. Our members, Ngun Rith, Chuy Chhiengmai, Chhaim Rong Roeung, Chhong Sreyvi and Un Set, are working hard on this exciting project.

It was a joint workshop between Chemists, Physicists and Mathematicians. Students presented their research interest to other students who are from different research fields. There were some issues proposed by Chemist for Physicists and Mathematician s to solve.

We could start doing some basic printing electronic and inkjet printable nanomaterial ink. A small step to fabricate sensors and microfluidic devices.
Protyping of those devices will happen soon.

On 15 January 2021, The Research Approval Committee (RAC) endorsed our first research proposal funded by the World Bank through the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MoEYS), Higher Education Improvement Project (HEIP). Our research project is leading by Dr. Tharith Sriv (PI), Dr. Veasna Soum (Co-PI), Dr. Ouksaphea Pech (Co-PI), Dr. Kimleang Khun (Co-PI), Dr. Chan Oeurn Chey, and other seven members including two professors (Prof. Dr. Kwanwoo Shin, and Prof. Dr. Hyeonsik Cheong) from Sogang University, South Korea. The research works will be conducted in the STEM Building, Graduate School of Science (GSS), RUPP. Our research aims are to create technologies for the development of practical products (iodide sensors, and glucose sensors) for industry and commercialization purposes and publish our results in scientific journals. This research project is expected to finish by the end of 2023.
