2023-24
The inauguration of the Mathematics association for the academic year 2023 - 2024 was held on 15.02.2024. Dr. D. Chitra, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics Quaid-e-Millath Government college for Women, Chennai delivered a Lecture on “Math Magic: Every day applications unveiled voyage”. making the students understand the applications of Mathematics in Day to day life. On this day the interdepartmental competitions viz. Essay Writing and Mathematics Quiz were conducted. Also prizes distributed to the winners of the competitions held on National Mathematics Day.
2022-23
Dr. E. Chandrasekaran, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Avadi, Chennai(Retd. Asso. Professor of Mathematics, Presidency College) inaugurated Mathematics Association for the academic year 2022 - 2023 on 17.02.2023. He delivered a Special Lecture on Fundamentals of Mathematics. The students of the Mathematics department showcased their talents by performing mime , conducting pattimandram, drawing and connection.
2021-22
Dr.R.Sahadevan M. Sc, Ph.D, Syndicate Member, Thiruvalluvar University inaugurated Mathematics Association for the academic year 2021 - 2022 on 28.04.2022. He delivered a Special Lecture on the “Importance and Application of Mathematics”. He also distributed Shields and medals to the prize winners of the Math Quiz and Paper presentation competition. The students of the Mathematics department showcased their talents through the Math Talent Show by singing, reading poems, demonstrating Mathematics tricks, and playing drama relevant to Mathematics.
2020-21
The Mathematics Association for the year 2020 - 2021 was inaugurated on 31.03.2021 by Dr. S. Sunil Varma, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Madras Christian College. He delivered a talk on "What is Mathematics". S. Deepika of II M.sc Mathematics gave a powerpoint presentation on Pi and T. Mohana gave a speech on காலத்தை வென்ற இராமானுஜர்.
2019-20
The Mathematics Association for the year 2019 - 2020 was inaugurated on 20.12.2019 by Dr. G. Uthra, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Pachayappas College. She delivered a talk on "Mathematics Around Us".
2018-19
The Mathematics Association for the year 2018 - 2019 was inaugurated by Dr. Rajalakshmi, Professor and Head, Jawahar Engineering College, Chennai on 11/01/2019. She Delivered a talk on “Mathematics in Day to day Life”
2017-18
The Mathematics Association for the year 2017 - 2018 was inaugurated by Dr. Jayanth Karthick M.Sc., M Phil., Ph.D Associate Professor of Mathematics, D.G.Vaishnav College and Dr. Pappu Kousalya, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D.Visiting Faculty, Department of Mathematics, Anna University, Chennai. on 01.02.2018. Dr. Jayanth Karthick delivered a speech on "Fibonacci Series and Golden Ratio" and Dr.Pappu Kousalya gave a motivational talk.
2016-17
The Mathematics Association for the academic year 2016-17 was inaugurated by Dr. P.R.Vittal, Former Professor and Head, R.K.M. Vivekananda College, Chennai on 11.01.2017. He delivered a talk on "Application of Mathematics in real life"
