A grade of C or better in Math 1B or the equivalent. Please come speak with me if you have questions or concerns about your mathematical preparation for this class.
Math 1C is the third semester of the SRJC Calculus sequence. This course covers multivariable calculus, including partial differentiation and multiple integration, vector analysis including vector fields, line integrals, surface integrals, and the theorems of Green, Gauss and Stokes.
Upon successful completion of Math 1C, students will be able to:
State and apply basic definitions, properties and theorems of multivariable calculus.
Compute and apply derivatives and multiple integrals of functions of two or more variables.
Compute and apply vector fields, line integrals, and surface integrals.
Use technology to analyze multivariable functions.
For additional details regarding course objectives and topics, please see the official Course Outline on the SRJC Website.
