Research Interests. MRI image reconstruction.
Short Bio.
I studied Physics at ETH Zurich with a particular interest in mathematical formalism and computer programming. But my natural attraction toward biology manifested itself at the end of my cursus as I did my master thesis in neuroscience.
I found a perfect match of all my scientific interests in the science of magnetic resonance imaging reconstruction (MRI reconstruction). After completing a PhD in the domain of MRI at CHUV and the University Hospital of Lausanne in 2018, I joined the CIBM CHUV lab as a postdoc for five years. During that time, I implemented performant iterative MRI reconstructions, in particular with temporal regularization for free-running cardiac MRI. That code was used for several publications and is available on Github as the Monalisa toolbox, accompanied by detailed documentation and user guides.
After my PostDoc position in Lausanne, I spent a one-year PostDoc in Bordeaux (France). I now came back to Switzerland to continue my work on MRI reconstructions as a post at HES-SO in Sion.
