Advancing quantum technologies requires the establishment of a large‑scale quantum device platform capable of high‑precision and stable control of quantum states. However, as the number of elements in semiconductor quantum dot devices increases, expansion beyond the scale of several tens of elements becomes increasingly challenging due to multifaceted scalability issues, including wiring density, thermal load, device variability, and high‑speed readout.
The masQuot programme is an international collaborative research initiative supported by JST-ASPIRE and UKRI-EPSRC, in which researchers from Japan and the United Kingdom work in close partnership to overcome these challenges and to develop next‑generation architectures for large‑scale quantum devices.
