PLEASANT BROOK POOL CORPORATION
2025 Membership
Membership Renewals
We will continue to use Google Forms for invoices to confirm Annual Memberships. However, payment is still required by check (made out to Pleasant Brook Pool Corp.) and must be received by March 23rd. You can mail or drop off your check to Rita Cameron, 4 Spencer Street, Lexington, MA 02420. If you choose to drop off your check, please put your envelope in the mailbox.
IMPORTANT: Please make your check out to Pleasant Brook Pool Corporation. Checks made out to Rita Cameron can not be accepted and cause delays in processing your membership.
A $30 late fee will be assessed if payment is not received by March 23rd. To confirm your 2025 membership, please do the following:
Open and read the Pool Rules here.
Submit your appropriate Membership Status Google Form to renew for the 2025 season: Summer here and Shareholder here.
Mail or drop off your check, as indicated above, before March 23rd.
If applicable, please submit an Unaccompanied Minor Form here. For your child to visit the Mason Street Pool as an unaccompanied minor while lifeguards are on duty, PLEASE SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SEPTEMBER 1, 2025 at 9 AM AND FILL OUT THE REQUIRED FORMS. THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOUR CHILD IS VISITING THE POOL ON THAT DAY BUT WILL COVER YOUR CHILD FOR VISITS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER. You only have to fill out this form ONCE.
Please email Rita Cameron at masonstreetpoolmembership@gmail.com by March 23rd if you do not plan to renew your membership
Renewal Deadline
Please complete and return the forms, along with payment, by March 23rd. After that deadline, we will begin to offer the spots of memberships not renewed to those on the waiting list.
Share Waiting List
If you are a summer member and would like to be put on a list to buy a share and become a shareholder instead if a share opens up, please email Rita Cameron at masonstreetpoolmembership@gmail.com.
Electronic Communication
Please make sure that on the invoice you include as many email addresses as you would like to ensure that you receive timely and relevant information.
Pool Season
May 24th (Memorial Day weekend) thru October 5th.
Pool Rules / Liability Waiver
It is very important that you read the Pool Rules and Liability Waiver carefully and sign your invoice stating that you agree to abide by them. We expect your support and cooperation in honoring them, and making sure your children, guests and babysitters honor them as well.
Of particular importance:
• Parking: There is no parking on the poolside of Mason Street. Park 8-10 feet from mailboxes and driveways. Do not park on tree belts. The town has put up “No Parking” signs on the curve of Mason Street, so don’t park there or you may be ticketed.
• Watch your children: Lifeguards are responsible for the safety of people in the pool. They are not responsible for monitoring children’s behavior, that’s the responsibility of the supervising adult.
• Showers: The shower is for cleansing before and after being in the pool. It is not a play area.
Supervising adults need to monitor the amount of time that children are in the shower.
• Inform your guests/sitters: Members are responsible for ensuring that guests know and follow rules.
• No Swimming Alone: A lifeguard or another adult must be present for someone to enter the pool.
• Food and Drinks: These are allowed only in the picnic and grass areas, with the exception of
unbreakable beverage containers on the pool deck.
• Lap Line: No sitting, standing, or putting pressure on the lap line
• Pool Toys: Make sure to remove from the water pool toys and floats before leaving the pool
Lifeguard Hours
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday
*Lifeguards will be on duty only on weekends beginning the three days of Memorial Day weekend until the day following the last day of school for Lexington Public Schools (LPS) - most likely Monday, June 20. At that time the daily schedule will begin. Daily lifeguard coverage will end Friday, August 22nd. However, if we have guards available we will try to have daily coverage that following week, and there will be lifeguard coverage on Labor Day weekend if staff is available.
Guests of Unaccompanied Minors
Please note, unaccompanied minors ages 10 (or entering 5th grade) through 15 who are at the pool when lifeguards are on duty may have up to 3 guests each. This only applies to unaccompanied minors, if the adult member is present then the family may still have up to 6 guests.
Complete this form for any guests of unaccompanied minors.
Please remember:
When the lifeguards are NOT on duty, you can have another member parent be responsible for your minor. However, if your minor has 1 or more guests, you CANNOT leave them under the care of another member parent.
Adult members, please remember that our lifeguards are teenagers who are entrusted with enforcing the rules of the pool. Please respect and support them in this.
Lifeguards may require anyone to get out of the pool if they feel they are a safety threat to themselves or others. Please respect and support them in this as well.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons will begin on Monday, June 30 and will run until Thursday, August 7. Below is the lesson schedule for the summer. While we may need to tweak it a little once the season starts, we are committed to keeping it very close to what is listed below.
NOTE: If your child does not have a Red Cross card that has been issued within the past year that states their swimming level, please bring them to the pool so the lifeguards can determine the correct level. Evaluations will be Saturday June 21 from 10 - 11 am and Wednesday, June 25 from 3:00-4:00.
Lesson Schedule:
Level 1 Monday thru Thursday 10:00 – 10:30
Level 2 Monday thru Thursday 10:30 – 11:00
Level 3 Monday thru Thursday 11:00 – 11:30 and 2:00 – 2:30 (choose one)
Level 4 Monday and Wednesday 11:30 – 12:15 and 4:00 – 4:45 (choose one)
Level 5/6 Tuesday and Thursday 11:30 – 12:15 and 4:00 – 4:45 (choose one)
*Note: At levels where we offer two options, we may eliminate one if there is not enough interest
Lap Lane Schedule
The lap lane will be unavailable due to swimming lessons Monday-Thursday from 11:30–12:15 and 4:00–4:45.
Parties must be reserved through Carrie Rose at “crose@bbns.org” or Brandy Hartford at “brandyleung@gmail.com”
Please contact one of them to reserve your date and time, and to request lifeguard coverage. Once they have cleared the date and a lifeguard has been assigned, you will be contacted with that information. You must then fill out the online Pool Party Reservation Form, and then send a check for the appropriate amount ($50/hour) made out to Pleasant Brook Pool Corp. to
c/o Lisa Premerlani
14 Robbins Road
Lexington, MA 02421
The party will only be confirmed once the form and check have been received. Please note that pool party lifeguards get paid $20 per hour with a two-hour minimum and you must pay them in cash on the day of the party.
*Pool parties cannot be scheduled on the last day of school (June 20), July 4-6, and after August 15th because the pool is too busy at those times, and it is difficult to find lifeguards.
Pick Up After Yourself
When you leave the pool, please make sure to throw out your trash, broken toys, bandages, hair elastics, etc…
