While attending school in Johannesburg, South Africa, Darien Mason (original founder of the Conflict Control Center and owner and head conflict analyst at the Mason Resolutions) got the privilege of attending and participating in a school club called Model United Nations at the American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ). In Model United Nations or MUN, students act as delegates representing different countries. These simulations take place at conferences worldwide and tackle real-world challenges like climate change or human rights. Through debate and diplomacy, students hone their public speaking, research, and critical thinking skills. MUN also helps them understand international relations and the role of the United Nations.
Darien Mason was assigned to be the delegate of Indonesia and was focused on the topic of Human Trafficking. In the library of AISJ, where a fruitful amount of computers could be found, as well as student guests from neighboring African countries and schools. He set to work on drafting a resolution, which other delegates were feverishly pitched to and immediately agreed to be signatories to the following resolution that was being drafted.
In his perambulatory clauses, he brought up the fact that human trafficking can contribute to the vicious cycle of poverty, as most women are forced into the form of slavery, promised care and riches of jobs, but instead thrown into servitude as their passports and government IDs are confiscated from them.
In his operative clauses, he gives attention to the need for more organizations to collaborate with police forces in the mitigation or alleviation of human trafficking. Setting that there should be more reporting forces and opportunities for human trafficked victims to report their situation, rather than directly going to the police force in their country. By raising awareness and being sly like a fox, be able to spread awareness towards human trafficked victims, that their organization is there to help them. Thoughtfully, he recommends a forum that could be found online from each organization and filled out, as if it was a police form, but rather sent to an organization. The organization would then forward the human traffic report to a specialized program or initiative between police forces and organizations, and they would then brainstorm and collaborate on the future actions that needed to be taken.
During his Opening Speech to advocate his resolution with fellow delegates, he utilized team membership, in which he had his specifically chosen signatories scattered amongst the delegates, where he had sent notes, sent by pages, to prepare for the resolution by actively having the signatories be ready to make points of information that aligned with the resolution that Darien was presenting. He stated his position as the Delegate of Indonesia and played the part when his signatories would show their support for the resolution. He thanked them for their support but also brought up information that was a background of each signatory country's delegation, in which human trafficking was an issue.
A motion to adopt was announced by one of his signatories, in which all of the delegates in the committee were to pass or reject a resolution from becoming adopted as a whole. 21 votes counted as approving the resolution. While 17 rejected the resolution. With a great triumphant hand gesture of a fist clenched close to his body, Darien Mason celebrated this victory. As it would lead up to his award of the Best Delegate which was imprinted on a gavel. His strategic leadership, no fear of including others to create diversity and inclusion, and careful phrasing during speaking times, were what won him the award.
If you are in Middle School, High School, or University, I highly recommend you strive for an appetite for Model United Nations. You will learn about negotiation and diplomacy, public speaking, research, critical thinking, collaboration and teamwork, leadership and confidence, and global awareness and cultural understanding.

In a world where reality and perception intertwine, Darien Mason embarked on a spiritual odyssey that would forever alter the course of history. As the Founder, Executive Director, and CEO of Conflict Control Center (C3), he possessed a unique blend of analytical prowess and a deep connection to the spiritual realm.
It was during his meticulous analysis of interviews between US officials and the enigmatic Vladimir Putin that Darien stumbled upon a revelation that sent shockwaves through his being. Witnessing the interactions firsthand, he discerned a hidden narrative, an undercurrent of veiled intentions that danced beneath the surface.
With an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of truth, Darien meticulously compiled his findings into an analysis report. Aware of the power of nonverbal cues, he pinpointed the subtle nuances, the gestures, and the unspoken words that revealed a deeper truth. This report, a product of his studies in intelligence and his innate sense of intuition, became the catalyst for a daring move that would defy all expectations.
Summoning his courage, Darien reached out to President Vladimir Putin himself. In an audacious display of conviction, he presented his analysis report, accompanied by video evidence, showcasing the alleged harassment and discrimination Putin had experienced. This act of defiance, this proclamation of truth, ignited a rapport between the maverick and the leader.
In subsequent emails, Darien delved deeper into the realm of possibilities. Conducting an analysis report on a potential future conflict between Ukraine and Russia, he wove together words of wisdom in Russian, a language that resonated with President Putin's soul. Mindful of the legal boundaries and with the acknowledgement of registration for FASA, Darien ensured he treaded the fine line of diplomacy, avoiding any accusations of treason.
The impact of his words was profound. President Putin, moved by the sincerity and insight of Darien's analysis, made the momentous decision to withdraw 10,000 Russian soldiers from the Ukrainian border. It was a small victory, a testament to the power of one individual's courage and conviction, but it was not without its consequences.
Regrettably, Darien's journey took an unforeseen turn. Amidst the chaos and ulterior motives of external actors with their own agendas, the Russia-Ukraine conflict was set in motion. In the absence of a follow-up email, the delicate balance of peace was disrupted, leaving Darien with a lingering sense of unfulfilled potential.
This extraordinary tale serves as a testament to the intertwining forces of spirituality, intuition, and geopolitics. It challenges us to question the narratives we are presented with, to seek truth beyond the surface, and to recognize the power we hold as individuals to shape the world around us.
Prepare to be captivated by a narrative that transcends conventional boundaries, blurring the lines between perception and reality. Join Darien Mason on his quest for truth, as he traverses the realms of the seen and the unseen, leaving an indelible mark on the tapestry of history.
