Assignment's ideas for this week:-
1.Doing the pre-activity and share it on FlipGrid
2.POWERING THINGS USING ELECTRONS.
3. Create a simple electric circuit that replicates the function of a known electrical device or performs a new cool function.
4.Design, simulate, and build a simple electronic device that performs two actions at the same time. The device may serve a need at your home, or just fun to build
6.Use Tinkercad to Simulate the Circuits
My Assignment device is (Simple switch LED Doorbell, a simple device that emits light and makes a bell sound when the switch is on )
I care about this idea: to know the basic principles of electrical circuits and electronics which will help me Creating a simple electric circuit that replicates the function of a known electrical device or performs a new cool function. and it's good to simulate the circuit of DoorBell (Simple prototype)
Use Tinkercad to Simulate the Circuits and make sure that all the items working successfully.
Items list :-
breadboard
power adaptor
wires
resistors
LEDs
Buzzer
Tinkercad
Cardboard
as Tinkercad has many features such as:
Tinkercad is very easy to use. Most of the 3d design software have steep learning curves.
It is compatible with 3d printing. It is a proper tool that gives you solid 3d files needed for 3d printing.
Tinkercad is fun to use. There are tones of 3d models created by the community. You could share your designs or even collaborate on designs.
Tinkercad can simulate all the electrical circuits with all the components.
a
I searched on the internet about the Sample project circuits Ideas
I imagined the schematic diagram of your circuit in my mind, then I sketched it using paper and pen.
I searched about the datasheets of all the components to know the (operating voltage and current)
while power source output is 6 volts ( buzzer operaing voltage is 6 volt and it has a rated current about >30 mA )(Led Operating max Voltage is 2.5V so we have to use a resistor to minimize the voltage to 2.5v and the Amperage to 20mA using Ohms law we need a resistor about (350 ohms) so i used the 330 ohms resistor.)
I opened the Tinkercad
I Sketched the parts of the design on Tinkercad (using the tools that I have learned from the Diploma)
After finishing the sketch, I simulated the circuit to make sure all is ok.
After the simulation, I collected all the parts which i will use to make the circuit device.
I joined and assembled the parts of the design together to show the final design of the project on the breadboard.
After making sure that all is ok.
For Laser Cutting:
I skitched the schematic diagram of the circuit.
I skitched and assembling the components in Tinkercad
I simulated the working of the circuit before making it on the breadboard.
I collected the items and I connected them together (power source and resistor and switch nd the led in series, The buzzer with the led in parallel).
Start powering
Measuring the current and voltage of all the components.(
Led and resistor Current = 0.14A voltage=2.06 volt
Buzzer current = 0.12A , V=6.15 V
Power Source = 6.15 V)
Here we have a Simple LED HomeBell Device.
we supported each other to know how to deal with the Electronics and connections and use them, Moreover we helped each other with a lot of problems witch occurring during the connecting
We supported and helped each other in knowing the conditions of voltage and amperage for the components.
The instructors helped us on how to connect the 7 segments and the potentiometer.
I had some problems in he internet connection so that I didn't dicument the week jornal befor the dedline.
I had some problem in understanding how to connect the circuit in parallel and series using breadboard, After research and (Try & Error) all became ok.
I learned how to:-
Create a simple electric circuit that replicates the function of a known electrical device or performs a new cool function
Calculate voltage and current requirements to optimally power some electronic components
Measure and verify calculated values for current, voltage, and resistance using an Avo-meter
Create electrical circuits containing multiple components optimally powered and functional
after this week My knowledge of electronics and circuits has been developed alot.
Learning how to connect (Series and parallel)
how to connect the RGB led with 3 potintiometers to control the colour.
and the pre-activity.
