Memorisation

Memorising music is not easy and frustrates some students. Knowledge of music theory and wise ‘fingering’ makes memorisation easier.

At Maryana's Piano Studio, music theory is an essential part of learning and this ensures that the student understands the structure of a piece, chord patterns and phrases of a passage. Additionally the student will be guided on ‘wise’ fingering to be used in chords, melodies and arpeggios. Collectively, this makes the memorisation process much easier for the student.
